The rate of overdue debt in loans of women in Hanoi is the lowest in the country.

Reporting to the working delegation, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi Women's Union Pham Thi Thanh Huong said that in recent times, the work of the Union and the women's movement has achieved high efficiency, spread strongly, and the emulation movement is associated with political tasks and major events. The organization and staff have been streamlined, suitable for the 2-level local government model. The Hanoi Women's Union leads the country in lending with "6 bests". Specifically, credit capital covers 100% of the Union's facilities; outstanding debt is more than 9.4 trillion VND, the outstanding debt ratio accounts for 53.41%, the highest among socio-political organizations in the area; the overdue debt ratio is only 0.01%, the lowest nationwide.

However, the implementation of lending entrustment activities is still difficult because many newly transferred Commune-level Association Chairmen do not have a firm grasp of lending operations; members' loan applications are still stuck...

At the working session, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City Nguyen Lan Huong highly appreciated the inspection and supervision of policy credit entrustment activities of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, contributing to removing difficulties and obstacles for the City Women's Union in entrusting lending activities.

Emphasizing the initial difficulties in the arrangement and organization of the apparatus, comrade Nguyen Lan Huong requested the Women's Union at all levels to form a framework from top to bottom to ensure favorable conditions for operations; requested the Social Policy Bank to continue to coordinate closely to effectively implement the projects; improve the quality of appraisal and lending to ensure the right subjects and regulations; well monitor the use of capital and bad debt collection. Along with that, the Union continues to do a good job of propaganda and support female members to access loan sources, thereby contributing to promoting the role of women in the city's socio-economic development.

Concluding the working session, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen highly appreciated the proactive and decisive spirit in leadership and direction of the Standing Committee of the City Women's Union, which closely followed the Resolution of the Women's Congress at all levels and the direction of the Central Committee of the Union, while flexibly concretizing the local political tasks to deploy the Union's work tasks comprehensively, creatively and effectively.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen suggested that the Hanoi Women's Union should soon promote the opening of the Union's account so that its activities can run smoothly. Along with that, the Union at all levels should actively support members to improve the efficiency of using loan capital through training activities on transferring science and technology, starting a business, developing collective economy, etc.
