According to Vingroup Corporation (VIC), Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup Corporation and VinEnergo Energy JSC has just announced the transaction of VIC shares.

Accordingly, it is expected that between October 9 and November 7, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong will transfer more than 60 million VIC shares, worth about VND10,600 billion, to VinEnergo Energy JSC.

After the transaction, Mr. Vuong will reduce his ownership from 449.9 million units (equivalent to 11.59% of capital) to 389.9 million units (10.04% of capital).

After the transaction, VinEnergo owns 165.7 million VIC shares, a 4.27% ownership ratio.

In June, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong contributed 70.6 million VIC shares to VinEnergo.

In July, Mr. Vuong also contributed more than 78.5 million Vingroup shares, equivalent to nearly VND8,400 billion, to the company established to register to invest in the VinSpeed ​​North-South high-speed railway project.

Previously, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong transferred more than 48 million VIC shares to VinSpeed. Thus, VinSpeed ​​currently holds more than 135.6 million Vingroup shares, equivalent to 3.5% of charter capital. VinSpeed ​​has recently stepped up recruitment to build the Ho Chi Minh City - Can Gio and Hanoi - Quang Ninh high-speed railways.

The Hai Phong LNG Thermal Power Plant construction project is located in the land of Tan Trao Industrial Park, invested by the Joint Venture of Vingroup Corporation - JSC and VinEnergo Energy Joint Stock Company, with an area of ​​nearly 100 hectares and a total capital of more than VND 178,000 billion (about USD 6.7 billion). The plant is expected to be operational by the end of 2030, providing about 9.6 billion kWh/year (phase 1) and 19.2 billion kWh/year (phase 2).
