According to information released on the evening of October 4 from the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam ( Vietcombank ), some news sites and newspapers published information about a fire at the Vietcombank transaction office at 152 Thuy Khue, Hanoi. Vietcombank confirmed that this information is not true.
Vietcombank is working with the authorities to request relevant parties to remove false information, inaccurate images and correct the above false information.

Previously, at around 6:40 p.m., a fire broke out in the parking basement of the 6-story building at 152 Thuy Khue.
After receiving the news, the police dispatched about 2 fire trucks and dozens of fire police and rescue officers to the scene to put out the fire and search and rescue.
"The fire broke out in the basement of a bank, and authorities are actively controlling the fire. Initial information shows that there are no casualties," the leader of the Tay Ho Ward Party Committee told Dan Tri reporter the same evening.
Mr. Vu Anh Long, a witness at the scene, said that the fire caused a lot of white smoke to come out of the garage, and a burning smell spread throughout Thuy Khue Street, near the fire area.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
