Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee intervenes in the case of a mixing station discharging cement onto the banks of the Lo River.

After Giao Thong Newspaper's reflection on the concrete mixing station of Tan Ha Industrial Joint Stock Company discharging waste into the alluvial land and along the Lo River, Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Tuyen Quang City to inspect and handle the situation.

Previously, on November 8, Giao Thong Newspaper reported that for a long time, the concrete mixing station of Tan Ha Industrial Joint Stock Company blatantly discharged waste into the alluvial land and along the Lo River, causing people to fear pollution.

The alluvial area along the Lo River bank has been cleaned up after being reported by Giao Thong Newspaper.

Specifically, in the area of ​​the beach on the banks of the Lo River, waste cement from the mixing station was dumped, turning the entire area of ​​land gray and white. Many structures and sealed concrete samples were also dumped directly into the beach area by this unit.

On the afternoon of November 15, after a week of Giao Thong Newspaper reporting to local authorities and Tan Ha Industrial Joint Stock Company, reporters noted that the unit had made initial fixes.

Talking to reporters, a representative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Tuyen Quang City said: "After receiving the feedback, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province directed the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Tuyen Quang province to inspect, then we reported back to the People's Committee of the province."

Currently, according to the investigation, the mixing station has cleaned up the concrete structures and concrete seal samples that fell on the Lo River alluvial area, to grind them into bricks and reuse them.

The solidified liquid concrete flowing down the banks of Lo River was also peeled off by Tan Ha Industrial Joint Stock Company to put into the crusher.

Regarding the overflowing wastewater settling and filtering tanks, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has also directly requested the treatment unit to dredge and re-dredging the settling and filtering tanks.

The unit has also committed to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Tuyen Quang City to strictly comply with environmental regulations, and during the operation, if problems arise.

Mr. Phung Anh Tuan, CEO of Tan Ha Industrial Joint Stock Company added: "We are still in the process of repairing the situation. All concrete structures and concrete waste have been collected, crushed and reused.

The liquid cement has melted and solidified close to the banks of the Lo River. We are currently clearing the way for excavators to scrape and clean up the remaining parts.
