The Four Birds of the Sky program will take place on December 28 at the National Convention Center in Hanoi , honoring four musicians Van Cao, Pham Duy, Trinh Cong Son and Tran Tien.

Tran Tien expressed that if this program is done well, it will make history in Vietnamese music because there is a very strange connection between the four musicians, the four brothers love and respect each other very much.

Tran Tien said that when he was 18 years old, he was a singer in a music group. The group sent him to musician Van Cao's house to ask for the song Tien ve Ha Noi . At that time, young Tran Tien was very scared but also shyly confessed to his senior that he liked to compose.

Van Cao asked him to sing those compositions for him to hear. After listening, he told Tran Tien to stop singing and focus on composing because they were very good.

Van Cao also revealed that Tran Tien was the second person he advised to give up singing and go into composing, the previous one being musician Pham Duy. He urged Tran Tien to go to the conservatory, after which he would teach.

At Tran Tien's wedding, all the guests had left. At about 10 pm, Mr. Van Cao came to give the wedding gift, a handwritten copy of valuable musical experiences by a famous French musician.

After finishing the music conservatory, Tran Tien took a train to the South to learn things that were not available in the North at that time.

At that time, the Northern musician was so poor that he had to sleep in the park, but he was very moved to receive the help and love of Southern musicians.

Trinh Cong Son told his younger brother to go find "Tien" and bring him back. Son refused to stay at home and went to the park. And there were many others, such as musician Nguyen Anh 9.

Knowing that the "younger brother" was suffering, the older brothers whispered to the organizers to give their salaries to help Tran Tien.

Trinh Cong Son was also the one who poured out his heart and soul to Tran Tien: "Tien, a bad symphony is not as good as a good folk song. Tien, write good songs, don't go into instrumental music anymore, just write songs."

Tran Tien confided that after listening to 1 or 2 songs, he could tell the musician's talent. He was afraid and did not dare to listen to good music, because if he listened to too much, he would get lost and not be able to improve.
