Vietnamese athletes were invited by legend Rio Ferdinand to play juggling at Euro 2024

Nguyen Ngoc Phat – Phat Freestyle, Vietnam's veteran freestyle athlete, will appear at Euro 2024 like many other prominent sporting events before in the world.

This athlete was the 4-time Vietnamese juggling champion and entered the TOP 10 of the world in 2018. He is known to many audiences both at home and abroad for his juggling talent.

Phat Freestyle is currently the first Asian athlete to be invited to perform at both the men's and women's World Cups (2022 World Cup in Qatar, 2023 Women's World Cup in New Zealand). And he has always been a person who desires to bring the image of Vietnam to many international friends through beautiful juggling skills, many of which are very Vietnamese.

Euro 2024, during the production of a reality show for the Kamito brand at Berlin's most famous landmark: Brandenburg Gate - Phat Freestyle had the opportunity to meet world football legend Rio Ferdinand - who came to Germany as a guest of many football programs accompanying Euro 2024.

Phat Freestyle as usual with the street artist in him, he still often participates in performances in public places to spread the spirit of sports as well as warm up the atmosphere of Euro. And immediately those extremely cool juggling skills attracted the attention of Rio Ferdinand - the world football legend and also a person who really likes artistic juggling skills.

As soon as he saw Phat Freestyle, Ferdinand called down and applauded the athlete from Vietnam. At the same time, he wanted to borrow the ball to try some moves for fun because there were many tourists visiting the Brandenburg Gate who recognized the former Manchester United star. Phat Freestyle also quickly sent the ball up and wanted to ask Rio Ferdinand for his autograph and of course, the former England player happily accepted.

After signing the ball, Rio tried a few juggling moves in his excitement and then threw the ball down to test Phat Freestyle's skills. The Red Devils legend even trolled the Vietnamese athlete by throwing the ball down with a lot of spin. However, with nearly 2 decades of training and coaching in freestyle football, Ferdinand's throw could not be difficult for Phat Freestyle. On the contrary, the TOP 10 athlete in the world from Vietnam did not hesitate to show a classy performance. Rio himself was amazed and continuously applauded for the extremely impressive juggling skills from Phat Freestyle.

After the above exchange, Nguyen Ngoc Phat felt extremely honored and proud to have interacted with a real football legend like Rio Ferdinand and even received a shower of compliments from the former Man United star. After the memorable exchange, Rio also suggested going down to the front door of the Studio to take a souvenir photo with the Vietnamese athlete. Even when standing next to the Manchester United legend to take a photo, Phat Freestyle still felt very nervous because he still could not believe that one day, he would be able to juggle the ball for Rio to see and stand so close to this former famous player.

After meeting Rio Ferdinand, Phat Freestyle shared: "I was very surprised by the friendliness and closeness of Rio Ferdinand - a legend of world football. I was also very happy that my juggling surprised Rio Ferdinand. After taking pictures, I introduced myself as being from Vietnam and Rio immediately replied: Oh, you are very good at juggling. Vietnam is very beautiful, I have been there, the fans there are very enthusiastic. It's great that I met you here. I will tell my friends about you, keep it up boy"
