The beauty of Hue heritage through sketch art

The architectural works, famous landscapes, landscapes, and people of Hue... have been realistically depicted through sketched works of art, evoking the beauty of the close, profound, yet joyful and sparkling heritage of the ancient capital.

On August 7, Hue Museum of Fine Arts in collaboration with Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts organized the opening of the thematic exhibition "The beauty of Hue cultural heritage through sketch art", at the same time displaying and performing Hue traditional Ao Dai with the theme "Ao Dai and Heritage"; activities to learn and experience woodblock printing with embossed patterns on Hue's Nine Urns, and paintings from Sinh Hue village.

The event aims to promote the value of Hue's cultural heritage. That heritage is being preserved intact, both tangible and intangible, from royal culture to folk culture, from natural landscapes to lifestyles, customs, and people of Hue...

The exhibition introduces to the public 150 works by many architects, painters and art lovers from the Hanoi urban sketching group and Hue visual artists.

The artists have captured the true and vivid beauty of the heritage and daily life. Each work not only captures the external beauty of the heritage but also conveys the depth of culture - history, emotions and personal memories of this land. These are vivid slices of a Hue that is changing but still retains its traditional values.

In addition, the beauty of Hue's cultural heritage is also depicted, promoted and honored through the graceful ao dai through the exhibition and performance of designer Viet Bao's ao dai collection on the background of paintings by several artists, inspired by royal fine arts and some works displayed in the exhibition.

The exhibition "The beauty of Hue's cultural heritage through sketch art" will take place from August 7 to August 22 at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum.
