On the morning of October 9, the 1st Congress of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, officially opened with the participation of 447 delegates representing more than 94,000 party members in the entire Provincial Party Committee.

In his opening speech at the Congress, Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Quyet said: The 1st Congress of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, is an important historical milestone, the first Congress after the Provincial Party Committee, together with the whole country, carried out the revolution of rearranging and streamlining the apparatus of the political system; merging the two provinces of Long An - Tay Ninh and rearranging the commune-level administrative units.

“The merger of the provinces opens up a new development space, maximizing the potential, advantages and resources of both lands with rich revolutionary traditions, many similarities in history, culture and development aspirations, representing the spirit of “loyalty and resilience” in the fight against foreign invaders, self-reliance in labor and production, always taking the lead in the cause of innovation; is the foundation for the province to enter a period of breakthrough and sustainable development, accompanying the whole country to enter a new era - the era of national growth”, affirmed the Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

According to Tay Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet, over the past 5 years, the Party Committee and people of Tay Ninh province have strived to overcome many difficulties and challenges, continued to carry out the innovation process, implemented the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, and achieved many important and meaningful achievements.

Notably, Tay Ninh province, together with the whole country, has steadfastly overcome the Covid-19 pandemic; completed the reorganization of the apparatus and administrative units, and initially put into stable operation; the province's economy grew quite well, higher than the national average, especially in the first 9 months of 2025, with a growth rate of 9.52%, ranking first among the southern provinces.

The economic structure has shifted in the right direction; most targets have been achieved and exceeded the Resolution of the Congress; breakthrough programs and key projects have achieved positive results; infrastructure has been increasingly improved; the appearance from rural to urban areas has many innovations and improvements; people's lives have been improved; national defense and security have been maintained; the political system has been firmly consolidated, creating consensus and trust of the people and the business community.

“The achievements are enormous and of special significance, affirming the province's strong innovation and rise; making Tay Ninh province one of the dynamic localities with rich development potential in the Southeast region and the whole country; creating a great source of encouragement, motivation, fostering the belief, aspiration and spiritual strength of the entire Party Committee, army and people in the province; at the same time, creating a solid foundation and premise for Tay Ninh to continue to develop rapidly, sustainably and comprehensively in the new period”, the Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee emphasized.

According to the Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, in addition to the achievements, the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee also seriously and frankly acknowledged the difficulties, limitations and shortcomings in the process of socio-economic development, strengthening security and defense and implementing the Party building tasks of the province in recent times.

That is, economic development is not commensurate with potential and advantages; economic restructuring is still slow; there is a lack of high-tech labor; land, construction, resource and environmental management still has certain limitations; there are still shortcomings in the cultural and social fields; the lives of a part of the people are still difficult; security and order in some places are still complicated; the activities of the political system are still not really effective and efficient in some aspects; Party building and rectification work is not regularly focused at times and in some places...

This Congress has the task of correctly assessing the implementation of the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2025 term, pointing out the basic achievements, shortcomings, weaknesses, causes, and drawing lessons for the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the Executive Committee in the new term.

At the same time, analyze the situation in depth, forecast the basic advantages and difficulties in the coming time. On that basis, determine the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term in a very specific way, ensuring objectivity, science and high feasibility, in order to accelerate the process of industrialization and modernization, associated with urbanization and international integration, further improving the material and spiritual life of the people. In addition, the Congress also needs to focus its intelligence, actively discuss and contribute practical opinions to the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress and related contents at the Congress.
