In the latest FIFA rankings, Vietnam earned 13.7 points thanks to two wins over Nepal, jumping three places from 114th to 111th.
On the contrary, the Indonesian team lost 13.21 points after two defeats against Saudi Arabia and Iraq, thereby falling three places, from 119th to 122nd.
This result also caused Indonesia to be overtaken by Malaysia. Despite facing a naturalization scandal, Malaysia has not been temporarily disqualified by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) from the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
Thanks to that, Malaysia enjoyed a full score of 13.3 to increase 5 places from 123rd to 118th in the world .
The 2027 Asian Cup qualifying round also helped Thailand make a strong progress, returning to the world's top 100 thanks to 2 wins against Taiwan. Thailand jumped 5 places to 96th in the world.
In the world's top group, the most notable change is that Argentina surpassed France to take second place. Meanwhile, Spain still sits comfortably at the top with a perfect record in the World Cup qualifiers.
Japan maintained their 19th place with an impressive win over Brazil, who have dropped to 7th in the world. Japan are now the only Asian team in the world's top 20, but Iran (21st) and South Korea (22nd) are also close behind.
