Promote creative ideas, no duplication
On July 11, the Miss Grand Vietnam 2025 organizing committee announced that after 3 months of launching, the national cultural costume design contest received nearly 600 entries. The designs expressed modern aesthetic thinking, creativity, and honored regional beauty and national cultural identity.
Accompanying coaches are designers Dang Trong Minh Chau, Nguyen Viet Hung, Vu Viet Ha and Ivan Tran.
This year, the Miss Grand Vietnam 2025 organizing committee will produce a reality TV show about the national cultural costume design contest. According to the plan, the program will be broadcast on YouTube, starting from August 9. Runner-up Le Phan Hanh Nguyen will take on the role of MC.

Designer Nguyen Viet Hung highly appreciates the creativity of young designers, based on the traditional cultural features of Vietnam. “In this playground, Hung sees himself in it, Hung learns from the young people the enthusiasm, effort and endless creativity.
Hung thinks the first thing of a good design must be what is attached to the model and not depend much on the surrounding effects. The second is creativity and suitability to the performance stage and the third element is expressing new features on the traditional cultural background in a smart and effective way" - Nguyen Viet Hung shared with Tuoi Tre Online .
Ivan Tran said the criteria for choosing a good design: “I like designs that show ethnic elements but are not yet exploited deeply, not repeating previous design ideas. I hope you exploit more aspects, combine modern trends, to make the design more diverse in color.”

Playground for talent
The organizing committee of Miss Ocean Vietnam 2025 launched a fashion design contest with the theme Sound of Nature, for fashion design students and freelance designers, with no age limit.
Designers Hoang Minh Ha and Thuan Viet will be consultants, helping contestants complete their designs to perform in the competition in early August, at Vinh Hy Bay.
Designer Vo Viet Chung - founder and head of the organizing committee of Miss Ocean Vietnam - told Tuoi Tre Online :
"I appreciate the creative ideas of young designers and fashion students. With the support of technology, materials and many other favorable conditions, it helps young people a lot. I am really surprised by their creativity. These fashion design competitions are a playground to create talents."

Designer Nguyen Minh Cong has participated in many national costume design competitions. He told Tuoi Tre Online that he is also part of the younger generation who loves culture, so he understands better than anyone else the creativity from sacred values.
"Having collaborated on more than 138 costumes for students participating in design competitions, Cong realized that the thinking and cultural perception of young people are very good and aesthetic.
138 works are so many different stories but all aim towards the common goal of honoring culture, each with its own mark. Cong is proud that young designers love culture and make culture more brilliant" - Nguyen Minh Cong shared.

According to him, the common denominator of the high-prize winning designs always contains stories of Vietnamese culture. However, there is no specific standard because it depends on many factors.
What makes the audience pay attention and remember these works is not only the costumes but also the surge of national pride when seeing them.
