Vietnamese designer brings woven bamboo and recycled materials to Chinese fashion catwalk

(Dan Tri) - Designs made from mesh, woven bamboo, and recycled materials, honoring the beauty of Vietnamese people and landscapes, made a strong impression on the catwalk in China.

Recently, designer Le Huu Nhan attracted attention when he introduced a collection called “Vietnamese Colors” in a program promoting Vietnamese localities in China. This is an activity to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China and the Year of Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange.

In this event, designer Le Huu Nhan brought 15 designs imbued with the Vietnamese national spirit, expressed through the fresh perspective of a young person. For the fashion house, this is not only an opportunity to introduce the beauty of the homeland's landscapes but also to portray the image of Vietnamese women.

To prepare for this special "overseas" trip, Le Huu Nhan has prepared carefully for 2 months, with the support of more than 10 skilled associates, with the desire to tell the story of a Vietnam rich in identity that is rising through the language of fashion .

“The collection is a colorful picture of Vietnam, showing the diversity and richness of Vietnamese culture and people. Each outfit in the collection is a perspective of the homeland, spanning across the lands, from the charm of Kinh Bac girls to the traditional beauty of Central girls and the cheerfulness of Southern girls,” shared designer Le Huu Nhan.

Originating from the concept of "creativity based on core cultural values", the young fashion house has interwoven modern elements such as fishtail shapes, busty dress details with familiar images such as conical hats, brass-strapped hats, and headscarves, creating a fashionable image while still honoring the traditional values ​​of the nation.

In particular, the collection uses mesh, silk, chiffon, curtains, woven bamboo... and some recycled materials to limit waste and protect the environment.

Performing for Le Huu Nhan's collection were beauty queens and models from home and abroad. Opening positions were Luna (Miss Cosmo China 2025) and child model Thien Kim.
