The National Cultural Costume competition within the framework of Miss Grand Vietnam 2025 was presented by designers through the lens of young creativity.

The National Cultural Costume Design Competition was held to create a playground for young designers. 4 teams with 4 coaches, including: Designer Nguyen Viet Hung, Vu Viet Ha, Dang Trong Minh Chau, Ivan Tran, together with the young designers brought remarkable designs.

Designer Dang Trong Minh Chau and his students bring a diverse cultural picture from everyday images to heritage. The designs are inspired by Chau Doc fish noodle soup, Can Gio mangrove forest, Dinh Cong silver bean craft village, Gau Tao festival of the H'Mong people, the craft of making cellophane lanterns or the image of Lac bird on Dong Son bronze drums...

Designer Nguyen Viet Hung's team brought 10 designs. However, besides the carefully invested costumes, there are still some controversial costumes. One of them is the design "Ancestral Incense" by author Tran Cong Hau, which was introduced as inspired by the custom of ancestor worship. The design received a series of unpleasant reactions from the audience when the contestant brought both the altar and incense on stage to pray. In addition, many designs of Ao Ba Ba costumes as well as the performance were also judged to be untidy when appearing on stage.
