Teacher assaulting colleague: Provincial People's Committee gives 'hot' instructions

Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Education and Training to issue a document advising on general rectification of the education sector after the incident of a teacher assaulting a colleague at school.

The People's Committee of Dak Lak province requested the Department of Education and Training to advise the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on a general directive and rectification of the education sector in the province regarding the order and rules of cultural and standard behavior of teachers and students in schools to maintain order and discipline in the pedagogical environment, build a team of exemplary teachers and education managers at all levels, and be role models for students to follow.

Dak Lak Department of Education and Training sent a consulting document to the Provincial People's Committee before October 18.

As Thanh Nien reported, at around 7:10 a.m. on October 3, Mr. NTS reminded Mr. D.T, a math teacher, about parking his motorbike in the wrong place in the school yard.

Instead of cooperating, Mr. T. reacted violently, using threatening words and physically attacking his colleague. Specifically, Mr. T. used his hand to squeeze Mr. S.'s neck twice in front of the school security and several students.

On October 9, the Ministry of Education and Training sent a document requesting the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training to provide a specific report on the case of a teacher assaulting a colleague in front of many students.
