Inviting saxophonist Kenny G to perform in Vietnam this time was not an easy task. Because international artists have busy schedules and to fit in a performance schedule in Vietnam during the tour is a big problem.
"At first, we made a list of many international artists that we wanted to invite to perform in Vietnam. However, their schedules were very tight, so it was not easy. In the end, only Kenny G could match his schedule with Vietnam. If he performed in the US, Australia, etc., there was no way he could perform in Vietnam. In the list of international artists that we contacted, there are artists who have matched their schedules to come to Vietnam to perform next year," said Mr. Le Quoc Minh.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh added that he himself has had many personal experiences with Kenny G's music. The first Kenny G album he bought in 1992 was Breathless . Kenny G's music still comes to him very coincidentally in many public and private spaces. For that reason, for him, Kenny G's music is very familiar and close.
Mr. Nguyen Thuy Duong - Chairman of IB Group Vietnam said that in order to invite Kenny G to perform in Vietnam, the organizers had to meet many strict requirements regarding sound, lighting and the auxiliary equipment system had to reach international standards. In addition, the program's organizers also sent a number of folk music works for Kenny G to choose one to be adapted into Smooth Jazz to perform in the upcoming music night.
