On the evening of June 13, Wren Evans released the song "Pay Attention" on all music platforms. The song carries the pleasant, youthful atmosphere of the album Loi choi combined with the nostalgic Y2K (Year 2000) style.

This is the latest music product of the Gen Z singer after Loi Choi - Album of the Year at the 2023 Green Wave Awards.

Wren Evans follows the Y2K trend

After Son Tung M-TP's Don't Make My Heart Hurt , another bright love song is given to the audience by Wren Evans at the beginning of summer.

Notice the familiar feeling of nostalgic summer in the memory of the 2000s, under the sparkling sunlight of the school yard. The female student looked at her "crush" and accidentally made eye contact.

Wren Evans' song To Pay Attention

The word "to notice" has a nostalgic feel because it refers to the feeling of liking someone during the "youngster" age of the Y2K era. In the lyrics, Wren Evans expresses that the boy "notices" the girl and hopes that she "notices" him back.

"At noon, why am I still sitting there, absorbed in my thoughts? For whom is the sun so strong that I still refuse to go home?"; "It seems like I wanted to stand closer... Why didn't I come closer just once? Why when I hear your name, I can't concentrate like before?" - the male singer describes his feelings of early love.

Noticed was praised for having interesting lyrics about love like Tung quen, a "broken heart" hit by Wren Evans. And the atmosphere was positive and bright like the song Cau Vinh Tuy in the album Loi choi .

As for the music, the song belongs to the light R&B genre, with hip hop influences along with drum beats, synths and brass riffs typical of the early 1900s.

With "Notice", Wren Evans reunited with producer Daisy Le Garçon. He released the song as a surprise summer gift to his audience, mostly students and young people.

The Y2K trend has recently become popular again among young people and has been prominent since 2022, influencing music, fashion , movies and lifestyle.

The trend has spread further thanks to K-pop and Korean youth. Gen Z youth have also enthusiastically responded.

Wren Evans, whose real name is Le Phan, was born in 2001. He is a singer-songwriter, who writes most of his own songs. In addition to singing, he can play instruments and produce.
