Bat Trang Commune launched a general environmental sanitation campaign to prevent dengue fever.

HNP- On October 4, the People's Committee of Bat Trang commune organized a launching ceremony for a general environmental sanitation campaign, mosquito larvae eradication, and dengue fever prevention.

At the launching ceremony, Chairman of Bat Trang Commune People's Committee Hoang Tien Dung emphasized that recently, outbreaks have appeared in villages of the old Bat Trang commune. Although the commune's medical force has controlled the situation, it also shows a high risk of the epidemic returning.

With the spirit of “no mosquito larvae, no dengue fever”, the People’s Committee of Bat Trang commune calls on all people to raise awareness, responsibility, and proactively implement measures to prevent and control epidemics. Each person needs to become a propagandist, a “soldier” in the work of killing mosquitoes, larvae, and mosquito larvae; regularly maintain general environmental sanitation campaigns, and uphold the movement of “Clean houses, clean alleys, clean environment”.

Commune health forces strengthen epidemiological surveillance, early detection, and timely handling of outbreaks; residential groups and organizations mobilize union members and members to actively participate with the community; each agency, school, and enterprise in the area needs to uphold responsibility and proactively coordinate in disease prevention and control.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, a large number of cadres, party members, union members, association members and people of Bat Trang commune simultaneously participated in cleaning, collecting garbage, clearing bushes, unclogging sewers, overturning water containers, etc., to eliminate mosquito larvae nests, preventing disease-carrying mosquitoes from developing.

The commune's mosquito larvae eradication team also coordinated with villages to visit each household to guide and supervise the implementation of dengue fever prevention measures.

In addition, the commune organized mobile propaganda to raise people's awareness of the dangers of dengue fever and the importance of proactive prevention.
