Flood discharge from Phan Dung lake on the afternoon of August 4

BTO- Binh Thuan Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited has just announced that the unit will regulate water through the spillway of Phan Dung Lake (Tuy Phong). The regulation time is at 3:00 p.m. on August 4 with a flow rate of 8 m3/s. After 9:00 p.m. the same day, depending on the water flow to the lake and the downstream situation, the flow rate will increase from 10 to 100 m3/s.

To avoid property damage to people in affected areas, the company requested the People's Committee of Tuy Phong district to promptly notify people along the flood discharge route of Phan Dung lake to have a safety plan.

Regulate water through the overflow.

It is known that in the past few days, the upstream area has had rain, so the amount of water flowing into Phan Dung Lake is large. As of 7:00 a.m. on August 4, the water level of Phan Dung Lake was at +205.48 m and is continuing to rise rapidly. According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydrometeorology, in the coming days, there will continue to be rain in the province. The water regulation is to ensure the safety of the project and reduce flooding in the downstream area when heavy rain occurs.
