Phuc Loc Commune: Heavy rain caused flooding and landslides on many roads and drainage ditches.

On the afternoon of September 30, the People's Committee of Phuc Loc commune said: According to quick statistics, prolonged heavy rain has flooded about 203 hectares of rice, vegetables and fruit trees in the area, mainly concentrated in the areas of Sen Phuong, Vong Xuyen, Van Phuc, and Van Nam.

In particular, due to heavy rain, a number of incidents occurred: The Chi Bac - Dat Dau intra-field road (Van Ha area) had a landslide that eroded the road slope deep into the concrete foundation; the road from Nghia Lo - Sen Phuong had a landslide on one side about 60m long (this location appeared since storm No. 5, the Commune People's Committee has put up warning signs, and is setting up a project to invest in repair and restoration); the Nam Ha 3 intra-field drainage ditch collapsed 100m, the Commune People's Committee has cleared the flow.

Responding to the prolonged heavy rain, the People's Committee of Phuc Loc commune has requested departments, branches, agricultural cooperatives, and residential villages to continue to closely monitor news, forecasts, warnings, and developments of storm No. 10; at the same time, immediately deploy measures to drain flooding in residential areas and fields, ensuring traffic and production. The People's Committee of the commune also requested Song Tich Irrigation Company Limited and Phuc Tho Irrigation Enterprise to immediately deploy their own drainage measures, and coordinate with the People's Committee of the commune to be ready to operate pumping stations to serve the drainage work when heavy rain occurs.

Faced with the complicated developments and circulation of storm No. 10, on the morning of September 30, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuc Loc Commune Le Van Thu and the working delegation of the commune inspected a number of locations on the Sen Chieu and Cam Dinh dykes, the irrigation system... which are identified as vulnerable points during the storm season, and at the same time grasped the situation of response preparations in residential villages at high risk of flooding and damage caused by storms.
