Regarding the case of Land Cruiser cars with fake blue license plates, on the afternoon of June 30, the Ministry of Public Security had official information.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, the Traffic Police Department under this ministry previously received a document from the Department of Administration - Management II (under the Government Office ) requesting to inspect and clarify the matter of the unit's car with blue license plate number 80B - 9189 not operating but money was still deducted from the VETC account at 10:23 p.m. on June 22 at the Ben Thuy I bridge toll collection point.

Realizing that there were signs that the driver was using a fake blue license plate and that during the operation, he had appropriated money to pass through toll stations for the VETC account of the vehicle with the real license plate 80B - 9189, the Traffic Police Department directed professional units to check.

At about 10:00 a.m. on June 30, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 2 (Team 2) of the Traffic Police Department stopped and checked a Land Cruiser with license plate 80B - 9189 while it was passing through the Van Don toll station ( Quang Ninh ).

At the time of the inspection, there were 1 man and 4 women in the car, the driver was Mr. N.D.H (50 years old, residing in Hoang Mai District, Hanoi).

During the vehicle inspection, Team 2 determined that this Land Cruiser used fake license plate 80B - 9189, and also used an inside flip-up license plate with number 29A - 455.65.

Working with the police, driver H. admitted that the Land Cruiser he was driving actually had the license plate number 29A - 455.65 and that he had installed a license plate flipping device on his vehicle, with one side showing the correct license plate number of the vehicle and the other side showing the license plate number 80B - 9189. At the same time, Mr. H. was also able to present the registration and inspection of the vehicle with the license plate number 29A - 455.65, which he owned. Mr. H. is working at a central agency.

Team 2 is coordinating with Van Don District Police (Quang Ninh) to verify signs of profiteering by Mr. H. when driving a car with a fake blue license plate through toll stations, appropriating road fees from vehicles with license plate 80B - 9189.
