The two-hour performance, equivalent to a play on a large stage, the actors made the audience laugh and cry. The play was far beyond the small space of the stage, far beyond the scale that people think of coffee plays. The structure was tight, the techniques were standard because all the actors graduated from theater school, the language was simple, enough to conquer the hearts and minds of the audience.

Inspired by the song "Con thuong rau dang moc sau he" by the late musician Bac Son, the two authors wrote a very touching story. The two sisters in the countryside of the Southwest region lacked the warmth of their mother since childhood, which explains why the younger sister clung to the older sister, and the older sister became the "mother" in the family, willing to sacrifice for her father and younger brother, even for the person she loved. That's why there are scenes of the older sister plucking her younger brother's gray hair, the older sister raising her child alone, the older sister staying behind to guard the ancestors' graves so that her younger sister could fly high and far...
The author hid the last part of the play very cleverly and also made the audience cry the most. Besides, the Western language was expressed very lovely, the artist seemed to be preserving the beautiful memories of the Southern land. Bac Son's song was the background for the play, flowing through the scenes to help the audience feel very clearly the passionate and sincere love of the Southern people.
Four actors: Vo Ngoc Tien, Hong Trang, Lam Thang, Hong Dao played 7 characters, flexible and really good at their jobs. It is known that this is a play that was ordered by a number of universities for students to watch. Bitter vegetables cooked in soup is a great effort of the Kich Doi group, Ho Chi Minh City.
