The People's Committee of Dinh Thanh Commune ( Ca Mau ) has just announced the results of the complaint settlement against Mr. Tran Quoc Dung - Principal of Ho Thi Ky Secondary School.

Accordingly, the commune determined that the complaint was partly correct, with the content that the school collected money for canteen, parking lot rental and other fees that were not in accordance with regulations, and were left out of the accounting books from 2016 until now.

Specifically, the Inspection and Verification Team of Dinh Thanh Commune found that: When the competent authority had not yet approved the policy and project for leasing public assets, the Principal of Ho Thi Ky Secondary School still signed a contract to lease the canteen and garage, with the rental period from September 2017 to August 2026. This leasing is not in accordance with regulations.

Mr. Tran Quoc Dung - Principal of the school signed a contract to rent the canteen with his wife, Ms. Phan Thi Hong Mai - a teacher of the school, violating the provisions of the Law on Anti-Corruption.

Total revenue from canteen and parking rental, commission from Edu messaging service, school uniforms, accident insurance from January 2017 to July 2025 of Ho Thi Ky Secondary School is over 2.9 billion VND.

Mr. Dung assigned this amount to the treasurer to manage cash and spend according to instructions, without entering it into the unit's accounting books and without reporting it to the School Board, which is against regulations and shows signs of "establishing the fund not in accordance with regulations".

From the above verification results, the inspection team recommended considering disciplining related individuals at Ho Thi Ky Secondary School, including: Mr. Tran Quoc Dung - Principal; Mr. Lam Van Thu, Chairman of the School Union; Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Tu - School Accountant; Ms. Do My Le - School Treasurer.

In addition, the inspection team recommended that the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dinh Thanh commune consider transferring the case file to the investigation agency to clarify the establishment of funds from the above-mentioned revenue sources of Ho Thi Ky Secondary School.
