Fined a business for selling nearly 6,000 liters of substandard gasoline

On January 20, Market Management Team No. 1, Thai Binh Province Market Management Department coordinated with the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality to conduct a surprise inspection of the petroleum retail store of Thuong Hoang Phat Trading Company Limited (address: Trung Village, Song Lang Commune, Vu Thu District).

Petroleum enterprises violating quality regulations were fined nearly 260 million VND.

At the time of inspection, the Inspection Team took samples of RON 95-III gasoline being sold at the store to send for quality testing.

Based on the results of verification work and testing results of RON 95-III gasoline samples, on February 21, Market Management Team No. 1 drew up a Record of Administrative Violation against Thuong Hoang Phat Trading Company Limited for the violation: Trading/selling goods with quality that does not comply with the corresponding technical regulations (with an Octane number that does not meet the quality requirements as prescribed in QCVN 01: 2022/BKHCN).

The violating goods included nearly 6,000 liters of RON 95-III gasoline. Immediately after that, Market Management Team No. 1 reported to the Thai Binh Provincial Market Management Department and transferred the administrative violation case file to the Provincial People's Committee because the administrative violation case exceeded the authority of the Director of the Market Management Department.

On March 4, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province issued a decision to fine Thuong Hoang Phat Trading Company Limited for the above violation with the amount of VND 259,920,000.
