Celebrating Tet at the construction site

In the chilly weather of the new spring, every household and every person is excited about spring outings, while at key projects in the province, many officers, engineers and workers continue to stay at the construction site, contributing to speeding up construction progress, determined to bring the projects to the "finish line" on time.
At the construction site of Ham Yen bridge over Lo river and Km 48 viaduct in Tan Yen town (Ham Yen) under the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway project, engineer Nguyen Duc Thanh, Deputy Director of the Executive Board of Package 24 - Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company said that to ensure construction throughout Tet, the unit arranged 6 drilling lines, 3 service cranes, 6 excavators and service cars.

In each shift, the unit arranges one-third of the staff to work, ensuring continuous construction. Those who work during Tet, in addition to receiving 300% of their salary, are also fully prepared by the company with food, including peach blossoms, and organized to wrap Chung cakes, creating a joyful atmosphere for staff and workers to feel like they are celebrating Tet in their hometown.

Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company won the bid for package 24 to construct bridges on the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway (phase 1), the section passing through Tuyen Quang province with 20 bridges out of a total of 22 river-crossing bridges and overpasses on the entire route. The workload was huge, so immediately after the site was handed over, the company mobilized vehicles and human resources to start construction immediately.

During the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, the unit will still organize construction as usual to ensure the progress of the project as committed. Mr. Le Duc Tranh, Director of the Executive Board, Deo Ca Group committed: The unit will undertake the construction of package 24, worth 720 billion VND. To ensure the progress of the contract signed with the investor, and in the spirit of the Prime Minister's call for a peak emulation campaign "500 days and nights to compete to complete 3,000 km of expressway", the construction unit has come up with plans to work overtime and increase shifts. Currently, the unit has the construction site for 18/20 bridges and deployed 18/20 construction sites. At each bridge site, the unit also divided into 2 to 4 construction teams to speed up the progress with a total of 250 workers and 150 pieces of equipment and machinery.

The construction site of the Provincial General Hospital project is still bustling with the sound of machines and welding flashes during Tet holidays. Workers are working overtime, striving to complete the project on schedule, achieving quality, meeting the expectations of the province's key projects. At the construction package of the technical building, Mr. Ruong Van Hung, a technical worker of the contractor of package 13: The unit is focusing on construction, even during the Lunar New Year, At Ty, they still work 3 shifts with 150 officers, engineers, and workers, ensuring the progress of each phase of the project. The unit has completed over 80% of the contracted volume. Carpeting and water supply and drainage projects are being vigorously implemented. The entire package 13 is 230 billion VND, and will be basically completed by February 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Hai, from Thai Binh, a worker at Truong Son Construction Corporation, shared: “On New Year’s Eve, everyone will gather to welcome the new spring, happily and warmly. Although we miss home, because of work, we are all determined to complete our tasks.”

Determined to reach the finish line on time

Comrade Nguyen Thien Tuyen, Director of the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, affirmed: The Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway project is of great significance, being a national key project, so the province and the Board highly concentrate all resources to carry out construction, completing the 104.5 km long phase 1 in 2025. To ensure progress according to plan, in the last months of 2024, the unit has basically handed over 100% of the site to the construction unit; directed contractors to focus resources to implement construction in 3 shifts, 4 teams to compensate for the slow progress due to problems with site clearance due to unfavorable weather conditions. During the 2025 Lunar New Year, the entire route will have over 40 construction sites and 20 bridge construction sites, the project disbursement reached 100% of the plan.

Contractors are focusing on cutting hills, crossing rivers to create construction sites with millions of cubic meters of earth and rock being dug up. At the 20 km long package 20, the construction of the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway, the section passing through Tu Quan commune (Yen Son); Thai Hoa, Thanh Long (Ham Yen) constructed by Truong Son Construction Corporation and Thanh Hung Investment and Construction Company Limited is bustling with the sounds of excavators and rollers. Mr. Pham Dac Dien, Site Commander of 168 Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company, said: In the past 5 months, the project was affected by rain and floods, making it impossible for the contractor to carry out construction.

Taking advantage of the favorable spring weather, the unit mobilized 200 excavators, bulldozers, trucks, and more than 300 workers working in 3 shifts, 4 shifts with the working atmosphere taking place urgently. As soon as the site was received, the unit focused on completing the construction immediately. Although it was Tet, the unit was actively leveling the ground, digging and filling the roadbed, constructing drainage works, casting components and doing concrete-related work such as underpasses, box culverts... striving to complete the drainage system along the entire route, at the same time completing the roadbed and underpass for people, ensuring the next construction steps.

The main items are being highly concentrated on construction, Mr. Tran Viet Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction: From October 2024, the weather is favorable, the investor requires contractors to vigorously construct to make up for the time delayed due to weather and site clearance and the two blocks of inpatient examination and treatment have adjusted the design. Welcoming Spring with the mindset of completing the items on schedule, contractors strive to complete the rough construction by the end of 2025.

With the efforts of investors and contractors competing to work even during Tet holidays, it is expected that the projects will be completed on schedule.
