"When the road is completed, people will travel more conveniently, goods will circulate faster, the economy will develop, we will also feel proud even though we only contribute a small part" - Mr. Truong shared.

The commander of package 12 said that to ensure progress, the construction site management board always closely monitors each item, promptly adjusts and compensates for any delays. The construction site currently maintains 22 construction teams with about 300 workers always ready to work at full capacity and work overtime to meet the overall progress of the project.

According to the Management Board of the Component 2 project of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway, to ensure construction progress, the construction site is maintaining operations with about 500 mechanical equipment, nearly 1,000 workers and 100 construction teams working continuously, working throughout the National Day holiday on September 2.

At the construction site of the Can Tho - Ca Mau vertical expressway project, construction units also maintained normal work without interruption.

Mr. Phan Duy Lai - Deputy Director of My Thuan Project Management Board (investor) - said that the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway project currently has about 200 construction sites operating simultaneously on the entire route with a construction force of up to 1,900 officers, workers, technicians and nearly 900 machines and mechanical equipment.

The current difficulty is due to the peak of the rainy season, hindering the construction work. In addition, weak geology also causes the waiting time for settlement to be prolonged, affecting the progress of unloading and construction of crushed stone foundation. The investor has deployed a series of technical solutions to promote progress.

The number of machine operators and roller drivers was doubled to organize construction at night; design consultants were directed to calculate and increase the height of the embankment to shorten the waiting time for settlement... The peak emulation movement at the construction site was also launched regularly, with timely summaries and rewards to encourage the spirit, pay reasonable salaries and bonuses to workers working overtime, thereby maintaining the construction pace.

With the determination to complete the project according to the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Construction, the investor, contractors and supervisory units committed to continue maintaining the construction pace according to the "3 shifts, 4 shifts" plan, "overcoming the sun and rain" to bring the project to the finish line on schedule (inauguration on December 19, 2025).

The Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway project is more than 110km long, with a total investment of more than VND 27,500 billion, and will be inaugurated in December 2025. The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project is more than 188km long, with a total investment of nearly VND 44,700 billion. The required progress is to basically complete the entire route in 2026 and put the entire project into operation in 2027.
