Providing an additional 160 tons of seeds to the Central region after storm No. 1

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has decided to provide 160 tons of seeds to support Hue farmers in overcoming floods, previously 130 tons for Quang Tri farmers.

On the morning of June 21, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention informed that the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has just issued a decision to provide (free of charge) 160 tons of rice seeds from the national reserve to support Hue people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters caused by the recent storm No. 1.

Specifically, Thua Thien Hue Plant and Animal Seed Joint Stock Company was assigned to supply 100 tons of Khang Dan 18 rice seeds (original grade) and 60 tons of Huong Thom 1 rice seeds (original grade). The delivery, distribution and use of these seeds are carried out in accordance with current regulations.

At the request of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee is responsible for directing the reception, management and use of the supported seeds, while ensuring transparency, targeting the right subjects and promptly serving the agricultural production needs of the people after the natural disaster. The Hue City Government must also take full responsibility for the damage reports as well as the use of the distributed seeds.
