Thuong Tin Commune collects opinions from households on the construction planning project of Nhi Khe resettlement area.

The North-South high-speed railway is one of the strategic projects of Vietnam Railways. The North-South high-speed railway is 1,508.6km long; the section passing through Thuong Tin commune is about 4.68km with the clearance area in case of conversion being about 50m from the center of the railway to each side. In addition to the scope of impact on existing agricultural land, the project also affects existing residential buildings, cemeteries, and existing graves.

According to the People's Committee of Thuong Tin commune, the construction of component resettlement projects is extremely necessary, ensuring project progress and, more importantly, ensuring stable lives for people within the affected area.

The Commune People's Committee recovered residential land from about 46 households, and the cemetery area within the project's recovery scope is about 1 hectare (more than 1,000 graves) in Thuong Dinh village.

According to the proposed Nhi Khe resettlement location, the research area is expected to be about 4.94 hectares, the current status is mainly agricultural land. The resettlement project has been approved by the city and the Department of Planning and Architecture, with a planned main traffic route of 20.5m, an internal road of 13m; residential land ^{of 13,920m2} , accounting for 28.2% (about 172 plots of land with an average area of ^80m2 according to the minimum land allocation standard); the rest is land for trees, playgrounds, commercial services ( ^5,002.57m2 ).

At the conference, all households agreed to support and highly agreed on the site clearance work to serve the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis and raised a number of recommendations and proposals to the Commune People's Committee.

Responding to the petitions and proposals of the households, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuong Tin Commune, Uong Thi Phuong, said that in the process of site clearance for construction projects in the area, the local government always ensures the highest benefits for affected people according to current laws, creating high consensus in society.

The leaders of the Commune People's Committee hope that households within the compensation area for site clearance to serve the construction of the North-South high-speed railway project through Thuong Tin Commune will support the local government and soon hand over the clean site to the construction unit to implement the project on schedule.
