On the morning of September 8, Mr. Thai Nam Son - Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Thuy Commune ( Quang Tri ) - said that 600 veterans of this commune were invited by a businessman from Ho Chi Minh City to watch the movie Red Rain .
Accordingly, the veterans were divided into 3 screenings from 8am to 2pm on the same day. They were also picked up from their homes to the cinema, which was about 30km away. The total cost of watching the film was about 80 million VND.
A veteran who finished the first screening expressed his gratitude for going to the cinema for the first time, and moreover, it was a meaningful film about the history of his homeland.
Meanwhile, the community also expressed their appreciation for this businessman's humanitarian actions and hoped that more people would come so that veterans could enjoy the movie Red Rain .
Previously, on September 4, at the special national historical site of Quang Tri Citadel, the Army Film Studio premiered this film to 6,000 audiences from Quang Tri ward and neighboring localities.
The film Red Rain was elaborately produced to honor the indomitable fighting spirit of the army and people of Quang Tri, and at the same time express deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
The film was mostly shot in Quang Tri province. The crew recreated the Quang Tri Citadel on the Thach Han River. Many Quang Tri people were also invited to be extras in the film.
