10 teams participating in the 2025 National U20 Futsal Championship

VHO - On the afternoon of August 28, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the draw ceremony for the 2025 National U20 Futsal Championship took place.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau, Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation, Head of the tournament organizing committee spoke at the ceremony.

This is the third year the futsal tournament for the U20 age group has been held and attracted the participation of 10 teams, an increase of 2 teams compared to the previous season, including: An Phu, Khanh Hanh Tay Ninh , Nha Trang, Sahako, Saigon Eminence, Saigon Titans, Tan Hiep Hung HCMC, Thai Son Bac, Thai Son Nam HCMC and Xa - HCMC.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau, Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation and Head of the tournament organizing committee, emphasized the importance of the National U20 Futsal Championship in the long-term development strategy of Vietnamese futsal.

The tournament is not only an opportunity for clubs to invest systematically in youth training, but also opens the way for young talents with a passion for futsal to practice, assert themselves and aim to become professional futsal players, contributing to building a successor force for the national team.

Thai Son Nam TP.HCM team ranked A1

According to the draw results, 10 teams were divided into two groups, each group of 5 teams. Group A includes Thai Son Nam TP.HCM, Xa - TP.HCM, Saigon Titans, Sahako, Khanh Hanh Tay Ninh; Group B includes teams Thai Son Bac, Saigon Eminence, An Phu, Tan Hiep Hung TP.HCM, Nha Trang.

The teams will compete in a round robin format to determine rankings in each group. The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals. The two semi-final winners will advance to the final, while the two semi-final losers will meet in the third-place match.

The tournament will take place from September 7-19, 2025 at the Futsal Club Gymnasium in Chanh Hung Ward (HCMC). Thai Son Bac team is the defending champion after a thrilling 3-2 victory over Saigon Titans team in the final match of the 2024 season.

The detailed schedule of the tournament will be announced in the near future. VFF will also select and broadcast live typical matches on official media channels including VFF Channel, VFF Fanpage and VFF TikTok.

With the expectations and support from the audience as well as the participating teams, the 2025 National U20 Futsal Championship promises to bring many attractive, dramatic and dedicated matches.
