Geovane and Janclesio were officially asked to help with Vietnamese naturalization: Teacher Kim and the Ministry of Justice took action

On September 29, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent a dispatch to the Ministry of Justice requesting support for Vietnamese citizenship for striker Geovane Magno and center back Janclesio, two Brazilian players who have played for many years in the V-League.

Coach Kim Sang-sik personally wants 2 Brazilian players to be naturalized as Vietnamese players.

In the official dispatch on the issue of naturalization, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong shared: "The success of Vietnamese football in recent times is the recognition of the attention and care of the leaders of the Party, State, Government and Vietnamese fans for football. After monitoring and evaluating the expertise of recent Vietnamese professional football seasons, the Professional Board of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and football experts have found that a number of foreign players competing in tournaments always have a spirit of dedication, devotion to the club and a desire to live and work in Vietnam long-term.

Based on the proposal of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the proposal of Mr. Kim Sang-sik (head coach of the national team), in order to utilize and promote sports talents to contribute to the development of Vietnamese sports in general and Vietnamese football in particular, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism respectfully requests the Ministry of Justice to support the procedures for naturalization of Vietnamese nationality for 2 players: Geovane Magno and Janclesio.

Geovane (center) will be a quality addition to the Vietnamese national team's attack.

Janclesio was very close to Que Ngoc Hai when they both played for Becamex TP.HCM Club (formerly Becamex Binh Duong ).

Vietnam team is about to have 2 more stars of Brazilian origin?

Both Geovane and Janclesio were eligible to play for the Vietnam national team immediately after obtaining Vietnamese citizenship. They both played in the V-League for the first time in 2019, and have lived in Vietnam continuously for 5 years (from mid-2019 to present), meeting FIFA's requirements.

Geovane was born in 1994, and played for Saigon, Hanoi, Ha Tinh, and The Cong Viettel clubs. He is 1.88 m tall, but plays very technically with a high tactical vision, and is good at maneuvering in a small space. Meanwhile, Janclesio was born in 1993, is 1.94 m tall, and played for The Cong Viettl, Da Nang, and Becamex TP.HCM clubs, and is known as "the cornerstone". Both of these players are currently on the payroll of Ninh Binh Club.
