In 10 months, Vietnam exported more than 7 million tons of rice.

ANTD.VN - According to the Center for Industry and Trade Information ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), in the first 10 months of 2023, the whole country exported over 7.05 million tons of rice, equivalent to nearly 3.95 billion USD.

Rice exports increased sharply in both quantity and value.

Of which, in October 2023 alone, the whole country exported 635,102 tons of rice, equivalent to 406.76 million USD, with an average price of 640.5 USD/ton, up 4.9% in volume, up 7.7% in turnover and up 2.6% in price compared to September 2023.

But compared to October 2022, it decreased by 10.9% in volume but increased by 19.4% in turnover and 34% in price.

In October 2023, rice exports to the main market, the Philippines, increased sharply by 88.2% in volume and 86.5% in value. However, rice exports to China and Indonesia decreased in volume.

In the first 10 months of 2023, the country's rice export volume reached over 7.05 million tons, equivalent to nearly 3.95 billion USD, up 15.9% in volume, up 34% in turnover compared to the first 10 months of 2022, the average price reached 559.5 USD/ton, up 15.6%.

The Philippines is still the leading consumer of Vietnamese rice, accounting for 37.3% of the total volume and 35.7% of the total rice export turnover of the country, reaching nearly 2.63 million tons, equivalent to nearly 1.41 billion USD, with an average price of 535.2 USD/ton, down 4% in volume, but up 11% in turnover and up 15.8% in price compared to the first 10 months of 2022.

Next is the Indonesian market, accounting for over 14% of the total volume and total turnover, reaching nearly 1.03 million tons, equivalent to 554.63 million USD, with an average price of 539 USD/ton, a sharp increase of 1,710% in volume and 1,908% in turnover; price increased by 11% compared to the first 10 months of 2022.

The Chinese market ranked third with 883,967 tons, equivalent to 510.63 million USD, price 577.7 USD/ton, up 16.7% in volume, up 33.4% in turnover...

On November 14, Vietnam's rice export prices continued to trend sideways. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current export price of 5% broken rice is at 653 USD/ton; the price of 25% broken rice fluctuates around 638 USD/ton.
