ABBANK temporarily suspends electronic transactions with businesses that have not yet identified biometrics

Services will be restored to normal as soon as corporate customers fully update their biometric information.

In compliance with the provisions of Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN of the State Bank of Vietnam and to enhance the level of security in financial transactions, from July 1, 2025, An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ABBANK) will temporarily stop providing electronic transaction services on the ABBANK Business platform for corporate customers who have not completed biometric identification of the legal representative.

ABBANK temporarily suspends electronic transactions with businesses that have not yet identified biometrically.

This is a mandatory requirement to ensure safety, security and compliance with legal regulations in e-banking activities. Accordingly, businesses that have not fully updated biometric information (including identity document verification and face/fingerprint authentication of legal representatives) will not be able to make withdrawals, transfers, payments and use online services on ABBANK Business until identification is completed.

ABBANK recommends that businesses that have not yet been identified should immediately do so in two flexible ways: (1) Identify online right on the ABBANK Business platform for customers who are Vietnamese citizens; (2) Or bring identification documents to ABBANK transaction points nationwide for support. For customers who are foreigners, they need to bring a valid passport to identify at the counter. Completing identification is not only a mandatory legal requirement, but also helps businesses restore access to the ABBANK Business platform to continue managing finances effectively, while enjoying a series of attractive incentives being implemented.

Specifically, customers who register for a new ABBANK Business and make 2 or more valid online transactions will immediately receive a 1 million VND voucher; issuing an online guarantee will have the opportunity to receive a discount of up to 3,000,000 VND in guarantee fees; in addition, there will be an exchange rate incentive of up to 120 points, an eVoucher of up to 1,500,000 VND and especially the opportunity to win an OMODA C5 Turbo Premium car worth nearly 600 million VND.
