Carefully prepare to organize the first "World Culture Day in Hanoi"

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 260/KH-UBND dated September 25, 2025 on coordinating the organization of the first "World Culture Day in Hanoi".

Accordingly, the organization of " World Culture Day in Hanoi" aims to build an annual international cultural exchange event, taking "culture as the foundation - art as the means".

The first "World Culture Day in Hanoi " is about to take place in Hanoi.

At the same time, it contributes to building a modern cultural and entertainment ecosystem, helping Vietnam catch up with global creative economic trends; strongly stimulating the cultural and tourism industries, creating jobs and promoting domestic consumption.

Regarding the content of the activities, the Ministry of Culture and Sports will take the lead in developing the overall script, identification, and mockup. Organize the opening and closing ceremonies, art performances, film screenings, and international fine arts.

The City People's Committee presides over the implementation of: Hanoi World Cultural Festival (Central activity within the framework of the Program); Hanoi International Cuisine Program; Hanoi International Folk Dance Program; Vietnamese Ao Dai Performance Program and Hanoi International Book Festival (Implemented in conjunction with the 10th Hanoi Book Festival - 2025, according to Plan No. 90/KH-UBND dated April 4, 2025 of the City People's Committee).

The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports is assigned to act as the focal point for advising, coordinating and implementing activities according to plan.

Departments and branches including: Department of Tourism, City Police, Department of Construction, Department of Health, Department of Finance, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Hanoi Electricity Corporation, Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, Ba Dinh Ward People's Committee... are assigned to coordinate, ensure security, hygiene, infrastructure, health, communication, and logistics for the event.
