An Giang organizes a series of special events to celebrate 100 years of revolutionary journalism

(CLO) In order to honor the contributions of the Vietnamese revolutionary press over the past 100 years, the People's Committee of An Giang province has just issued a plan to organize activities to celebrate this important event. Accordingly, many special activities will be organized to recognize the development of the provincial press as well as the great achievements of the Vietnamese revolutionary press.

According to the plan, An Giang Newspaper will carry out articles, interviews, reports, photo reports and television reports, especially on the electronic newspaper platform, to reflect the development of journalism in the province.

At the same time, An Giang Radio and Television Station will produce a documentary about the process of local journalism activities, along with live broadcasting the Award Ceremony of the composition contest and promoting works on the theme "Studying and following the example of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton in caring for people's lives" for the period 2024 - 2025.

To highlight the important role of the press, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province will organize a meeting to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. This is also an opportunity to meet and honor outstanding journalists in the province, review the glorious tradition and honor the great contributions of the press in the cause of fighting for national independence and building the country.

A special highlight in the series of activities is the exhibition displaying the achievements of 100 years of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, combined with the introduction of outstanding achievements of An Giang province's press. Along with that, publications on the formation and development process of press agencies in the province will also be compiled and released.

In addition, An Giang province also organized cultural, artistic and sports activities, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of An Giang Newspaper.

These activities not only help to review the glorious tradition of Vietnam's revolutionary press but also affirm the deep concern of the Party and State for the press. At the same time, through these events, An Giang province hopes to foster pride and raise professional awareness for the team of journalists, helping them to be increasingly steadfast in their expertise, professional ethics and political mettle.
