At the seminar, delegates focused on discussing and assessing the security and order situation in the border gate area, the results of coordination between the An Giang Provincial Border Guard and the Cambodian border protection force in the past time. Opinions all affirmed that the close coordination between the two forces has contributed significantly to maintaining political security, social order and safety, effectively fighting against all types of crimes of smuggling, trade fraud, illegal immigration and other illegal activities.

The delegates also pointed out the difficulties and challenges in the new situation, and proposed many solutions to improve the quality of coordination, such as: Continuing to maintain a good mechanism for regular exchange and information; organizing bilateral patrols; strengthening coordination to grasp the situation, promptly handle incidents, and avoid being passive and surprised. At the same time, together doing a good job of propaganda and mobilizing people on both sides of the border to strictly comply with the provisions of the law, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed border.
