NDO - With a view of the river, cool air, and colorful urban landscape, Bach Dang walking street in Da Nang in recent days has been causing a "fever" with many residents and tourists who want to walk, relax and have fun, thereby opening up many potentials for commercial and tourism development of the city.

Opened on the evening of June 7, Bach Dang walking street currently operates from 3 p.m. to midnight every day, stretching 1.2 km from the foot of Dragon Bridge to Tran Thi Ly Bridge and connecting with Nguyen Van Troi walking bridge.

The street space is about 8 hectares wide, using one lane on the east side of Bach Dang Street for mobile vendors, but on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the entire street will be closed to vehicles (from APEC Park to Binh Minh 10 Street) to serve the activities of the street.

After completion, the walking street landscape is designed in a modern style with artistically lit streets, bringing many colors of a dynamic city; arranging three clusters of mobile kiosks selling from refreshment services to shopping with 12 kiosks on the sidewalk, 5 clusters of mobile sales vehicles with 15 vehicles on the East lane of Bach Dang Street.

According to Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee Le Tu Gia Thanh, visitors to Bach Dang walking street not only get to stroll on one of the most beautiful streets in Da Nang , but also admire the magnificent beauty of the bridges across the Han River, experience unique culture with vibrant art programs imbued with local identity.

When coming to enjoy Bach Dang walking street in recent days, people and tourists have had relaxing moments of walking, sightseeing, enjoying various types of food, drink and entertainment services in a colorful and lively space. Although there were showers on the first nights of the opening, businesses all recorded the positive reception of people and tourists for the activities on Bach Dang walking street.
