Sharing with VietNamNet , two brothers, former 12th grade French students of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted ( Ninh Binh ), shared that they were very happy but not too surprised because their university admission scores were "similar", while their registration wishes and order were also identical.
Duc Anh said that both brothers were admitted to Hanoi University of Construction by considering their transcript scores. After conversion, Nguyen Duc Anh achieved 26.52 total admission scores; and his younger brother Nguyen Duy Anh achieved 26.72 points and both were admitted to their 11th choice of Construction Management (majoring in Economics and Real Estate Management).

After enrolling, knowing that they were twins, the University of Construction created conditions for Duc Anh and Duy Anh to study in the same class.
Thus, Duc Anh and Duy Anh continue to extend the chain of "studying in the same class" from kindergarten to university.
“Both brothers have the same academic ability so they have the same wishes and the wishes above are all for top schools, the kind of 'dream' wishes. My family and I discussed and agreed to register the same admission wishes so that if we fail, we will both fail, if we pass, we will both pass to study at the same school for convenience in eating, living and working,” Duc Anh shared.
Duy Anh said that perhaps the two brothers were admitted to the same major because their academic results in Math; Physics; Economics and Law were equal.
“We are very happy because the fact that we were admitted to Hanoi University of Civil Engineering was probably “fate”. Both our grandparents were alumni of the University of Civil Engineering and were in the same class of 13; and we are new students of class of 70”, Duy Anh said.

Duc Anh said that the two brothers being admitted to the same major, even studying in the same class at the same university, will create favorable conditions for living, traveling and studying. “Studying in the same major and in the same class, we can help and explain to each other if one of us does not understand a certain part of the knowledge. Studying in the same class and registering for the same credits here, traveling will also be more convenient and economical when the two brothers can go to school together. Being a twin family, all expenses are often doubled, expensive; with this situation, my parents will probably only have to buy one car,” Duc Anh shared.
However, Duc Anh said that to do this, both brothers will have to advise each other and be determined to be able to register for the same credit schedule. Because if one of them lacks determination, the credit-based learning will be "out of sync".
After 1 week of studying, Duy Anh said that both of them clearly felt that the university environment is completely different from high school. “We have to be independent and self-study instead of having our parents remind us and prepare for everything at home like before. At the same time, the amount of knowledge is new and more. Luckily, there are 2 people so we can remind each other,” Duy Anh shared.

Duy Anh said that for now, the two brothers will have to focus on registering for additional English classes, because in high school they only focus on studying French.
Both of them determined that they would have to focus on their studies during their university years and try their best to achieve the best results.
“My grandparents also told us that we could get into school, but we had to continue to study seriously to be able to pass and accumulate a solid foundation,” Duc Anh shared.
Recently, within the framework of the Citizen - Student Activities Week of the Faculty of Economics and Construction Management, Duc Anh and Duy Anh were also awarded the "HUCE Traditional Scholarship" by the leaders of Hanoi University of Construction to encourage students with siblings studying at the same school.
