The impact of the tropical depression in the evening and night of the 18th will have heavy rain.

According to Tuyen Quang Province's Hydrometeorological Station, at 10:00 a.m. on August 18, the center of the tropical depression was at about 19.2 degrees North latitude; 108.2 degrees East longitude, about 115km South-Southeast of Bach Long Vi special zone. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6-7 (39-61km/h), gusting to level 9; moving in the North-Northwest direction at a speed of about 15km/h.

It is forecasted that from the evening and night of August 18 to the night of August 19, due to the influence of the tropical low pressure circulation, Tuyen Quang province will have scattered showers and thunderstorms with average rainfall of 10-30mm, and in some places over 50mm.   Warning of risk of heavy rain >50mm/3h.

Thunderstorms reduce visibility when driving, cause slippery roads, affect traffic and outdoor activities. Tornadoes, lightning and strong winds can affect agricultural production, break trees, damage houses, traffic works, infrastructure, endanger human life.
