Six shirts of the Argentine football legend were displayed at Sotheby's headquarters in New York City (USA), in a two-week online auction that just ended. The identity of the buyer of these shirts was not revealed.

Sotheby's also said that part of the proceeds from the sale of Messi's six jerseys will be donated to the UNICAS Project, a project initiated by the Sant Joan de Deu Children's Hospital in Barcelona (Spain), with the support of the Messi Foundation, to help children with rare diseases.
