In Linh Son ward, one of the areas most severely damaged, after the flood receded, the youth union members did not hesitate to work hard to help people clean their houses, dredge sewers, collect garbage, and clean furniture. Many residential groups that were deeply flooded are now dry and clean thanks to the active contributions of young people.
Comrade Nguyen Van Quy, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Linh Son Ward Youth Union, said: Immediately after the storm passed, the ward Youth Union mobilized the maximum local force and coordinated with other organizations to support people in overcoming the consequences. The ward's volunteer teams divided into small groups, went to each residential group to clean up, support people in moving their belongings... to restore their lives.
Not only local youth union members, but also hundreds of students, lecturers, and union officials from schools under Thai Nguyen University participated in these days. They came to help schools, residential areas, offices, and deeply flooded areas such as Quang Vinh, Tuc Duyen, Gia Sang, Vo Nguyen Giap Square...
At Quang Vinh Primary School, after the flood receded, hundreds of students quickly packed up desks and chairs, cleaned classrooms, and dredged mud to welcome students back. Their backs were drenched in sweat, their hands were covered in mud, but everyone had bright smiles as each classroom gradually became clean again.
Amidst the mud and dirt, the green shirt became a support of faith. Pham Dang Duong, a student at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Thai Nguyen University), who was present from the first days of overcoming the consequences, shared: As union members and students, we understand our responsibility to the community. Helping people during and after the flood is something that needs to be done, whether it is just clearing mud, collecting trash or rearranging tables and chairs, we do it voluntarily with the spirit of "wherever there is a need, there is a youth, where there is difficulty, there is a youth".
Comrade Le Van Hieu, Secretary of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Student Association of Thai Nguyen University, said: The Youth Union and Student Association of Thai Nguyen University have established volunteer teams, coordinated with the Youth Unions of units, and spread to areas that suffered heavy damage such as Tuc Duyen, Quang Vinh, Gia Sang, Vo Nguyen Giap Square area... to participate in cleaning up, sanitizing the environment, dredging sewers, and restoring the urban landscape.

According to the report of Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union, the whole province has mobilized more than 35,000 union members and youths to participate in relief activities and overcome the consequences of storm No. 11; organized the cooking of more than 15,000 free meals to send to people in deep flooded areas, connected relief resources to provide more than 80 tons of goods including rice, clean water, instant noodles, milk, clothes and essential necessities.
Comrade Pham Thi Thu Hien, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union, said: In recent days, the spirit of volunteerism and initiative of Thai Nguyen youth union members has been strongly promoted. The Youth Union at all levels promptly established on-site support teams, closely coordinated with the functional forces to help people overcome the consequences, stabilize their lives, and bring schools back to safe operation. Thereby, continuing to affirm the role of the Youth Union in difficult times as a reliable support for the people.
