Ba Ria - Vung Tau budget revenue reached nearly 48,000 billion VND

(NLDO)- Ba Ria - Vung Tau has experienced the first half of 2025 with many positive marks, although there are still many challenges.

The report of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province shows that 9/13 economic and financial indicators increased compared to the same period and were higher than the growth rate for the whole year 2024. Notably, revenue from accommodation services increased sharply by 22.68%, revenue from transportation - warehousing increased by 10.53% and total retail sales of goods increased by 13.96%, exceeding the set target.

Total budget revenue in the area is estimated at over VND47,900 billion, reaching 46.67% of the adjusted estimate. Notably, total development investment capital in the province is estimated at over VND42,200 billion, up nearly 40% over the same period.

The 2025 Investment Promotion Conference with the theme "Choosing Ba Ria - Vung Tau" attracted more than 50 projects to be granted investment policy decisions and signed strategic cooperation agreements, contributing to opening a new growth period for the locality.

The non-oil and gas industry grew by 11.77%, reaching over VND210,000 billion. Industrial parks in the area attracted 20 new projects with a total capital of over USD400 million, contributing to raising the occupancy rate of operating industrial parks to 70%.

The service sector continues to be a bright spot. Tourism has made a strong breakthrough with 3 million overnight visitors, an increase of 18.28%. Many outstanding events such as the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Tourism Music Festival 2025, the hot air balloon festival in Xuyen Moc... have created a positive media effect and contributed to affirming its position as a leading tourist destination in the South.

The new rural development program has achieved remarkable results with 100% of communes meeting standards, 87.5% meeting advanced standards and 35% meeting model standards. The fields of education , health, culture and sports have been implemented synchronously and effectively. The rate of trained workers reached 82%, the rate of residents using clean water reached 100%.

Outstanding in the field of education, the rate of schools meeting national standards reached over 80%. People's health care and disease prevention were well controlled, preventing overlapping epidemics. The People's Satisfaction Index (SIPAS) reached 90.99%, ranking 5th nationwide, reflecting efforts to improve the quality of public administrative services.

Ba Ria - Vung Tau tourism makes impressive breakthrough

Ba Ria - Vung Tau has identified 2025 as the year of "comprehensive digital transformation to develop the digital economy". The rate of online public service records has reached nearly 24%, ranking 4th in the Southeast region. The administrative reform and local governance indexes are all among the top in the country.

Along with that, the province is gradually streamlining the administrative apparatus towards streamlining and efficiency. After the reorganization, the whole province reduced 48 commune-level administrative units, aiming to streamline the payroll and effectively use public assets.

Ba Ria - Vung Tau will continue to synchronously implement solutions to promote growth, improve the investment environment, accelerate disbursement of public investment capital, support businesses, promote digital transformation and ensure social security.
