In a world witnessing many changes, culture has always been a lasting bridge connecting people's hearts, bringing peoples closer together with the common voice of art and peace .
Vietnam's initiative to organize the International Arts and Culture Day in Hanoi in early October has received strong support from international friends, including Venezuela, who consider it a practical contribution to spreading solidarity, mutual understanding and sustainable development among nations.
Speaking at a reception for Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My, Venezuelan Culture Minister Ernesto Villegas affirmed that Vietnam’s hosting of a large-scale international cultural event is a testament to Vietnam’s increasingly proactive role in promoting global cultural exchange and integration. According to him, it will be a place where people are placed at the center, culture is the foundation and art becomes the thread connecting nations.
According to Mr. Villegas, Venezuela will send a special art troupe to Vietnam, including the traditional music group Tamboriprimo - a familiar face of indigenous music with more than 25 years of dedication.
In particular, artist-member of the National Assembly Alí Alejandro Primera, nephew of the late artist and revolutionary Ali Primera, will bring to Hanoi melodies that are deeply associated with Vietnam through the image of Ho Chi Minh.
The songs “Forever Ho Chi Minh,” “Portrait of Ho Chi Minh” and “Vietnamese Woman” will once again resound, as a tribute, as a bridge connecting two cultures that have shared many pages of history.
Following the words of Minister of Culture Villegas, Ambassador Vu Trung My expressed his appreciation for Venezuela's participation, emphasizing that the presence of the art troupe from Venezuela would be a meaningful highlight, contributing to creating a colorful picture for the cultural festival, thereby further strengthening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Venezuela.
According to Ambassador Vu Trung My, the International Arts and Culture Day will take place from October 4-5 at Thang Long Imperial Citadel - a World Cultural Heritage recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
The program includes many rich activities such as art performances, fine art exhibitions, fashion shows, film screenings, culinary introductions and international book exhibitions. With the motto "Culture is the foundation - Art is the means," the event aims to become an annual cultural diplomacy activity, of international stature and imbued with Vietnamese imprint.
At the meeting, the Ambassador presented Minister of Culture Ernesto Villegas with some typical works of President Ho Chi Minh such as Prison Diary, Ho Chi Minh's Military Thought... as a spiritual gift, demonstrating the cultural connection and sharing of sustainable values between the two peoples.
According to the Ambassador, in the sacred space of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, when Venezuelan melodies blend with drum beats, singing and colors from all five continents, Hanoi will not only be a cultural rendezvous, but also a place to entrust the belief that culture - with its profound humanistic power, will continue to illuminate the path towards a world of peace, friendship and mutual development./.
