Opening the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong requested members of the Steering Committee to study and give additional comments to complete the preliminary report on anti-corruption work in the province in the first quarter and until May 2023; and give specific comments on cases and incidents under the monitoring of the Steering Committee. The investigation agency reviewed and commented on outstanding issues in the recent past, which it deemed necessary to include in the monitoring list of the Steering Committee for discussion and consideration at this meeting.
The Provincial Party Secretary also emphasized that propaganda work on PCTNTC is one of the important contents that needs attention. Therefore, he requested news agencies and press to step up propaganda work on this content so that all classes of people, agencies and units can understand and unanimously support the Steering Committee in implementing PCTNTC tasks.
According to the report of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, since the beginning of the year, the Steering Committee has directed the implementation of working regulations, work programs, and assigned tasks to organize and implement according to its authority. It has promptly disseminated the Party's directives and resolutions, and the conclusions of the General Secretary and Head of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption. Party committees, party organizations, departments, branches, and sectors, especially functional agencies in the work of inspection, examination, investigation, prosecution, and trial, have been active, proactive, and coordinated closely to detect violations for effective handling, especially in handling cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee. However, in the past time, there have still been some shortcomings, difficulties, and obstacles; the leadership and direction of anti-corruption in some Party committees and authorities have not been regular and not very effective.
