Provincial Party Standing Committee: Deploying key tasks for the last 3 months of the year

On October 10, comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the 56th Standing Committee Meeting to assess the situation and results of implementing political tasks in the past 9 months and deploy key tasks for the last 3 months of 2023. Attending were comrades: Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

Assessing the implementation of tasks in the first 9 months of 2023, the Provincial Party Standing Committee basically agreed with the draft report submitted by the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Office. At the same time, they agreed to assess and implement the tasks in the first 9 months of 2023 in a more difficult and challenging context than before, but with high determination, the Provincial Party Committee, all levels, sectors and localities have closely followed the central direction, focused on leadership, closely and resolutely directed solutions and urgent tasks; together with the solidarity, responsibility and efforts of the entire political system and all classes of people, the business community in the province, they have achieved positive results in all fields. Notably, the gross domestic product (GRDP) in the first 9 months increased by 8.67% over the same period in 2022; the growth rate ranked 9th out of 63 provinces and cities and 3rd out of 14 provinces in the North Central and Central Coast. The socio -economy remains stable; some sectors have grown well; key projects have been accelerated; urban and rural infrastructure has been invested; investment promotion has been focused. The cultural, health and education sectors have made much progress; social security policies have been fully and promptly implemented; national target programs have been promoted. National defense, security, order and social safety have been maintained. Propaganda, personnel organization, internal affairs, anti-corruption and negativity have received attention. Party building and political system building have been strengthened.

Regarding the key tasks for the last 3 months of 2023, the Provincial Party Standing Committee agreed with the groups of tasks and key solutions proposed in the draft reports. At the same time, it emphasized that in order to achieve the annual growth target of 10-11%, the GRDP growth rate in the last 3 months of the year needs to reach about 13%. This is a task that requires high determination, in the context of continuing new difficulties and challenges, more complicated developments, especially the slow recovery of the world economy, high inflation, risk of epidemics, rain, floods, production and business activities of enterprises, there are still many difficulties affecting the implementation of tasks in the coming time.

Concluding the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that in order to create a breakthrough in growth and strive to complete the 2023 plan targets, Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and localities need to thoroughly grasp the motto of action, uphold a high sense of responsibility and discipline, and make greater efforts and determination in their leadership and management activities to promptly overcome difficulties and challenges, seize opportunities to accelerate the process of economic recovery and development; pay more attention to the lives of the poor; maintain social stability. Implement strong digital transformation in all fields; remove difficulties and have plans to promote investment in industrial parks and clusters. Promote the responsibility of sectors, localities and specialized agencies to proactively advise and effectively advise in assigned fields, take drastic actions and accelerate the completion of the tasks of the whole year at the highest level.

Regarding the work of Party building and the political system, the Provincial Party Secretary requested Party committees at all levels to pay attention to the work of fostering and educating political ideology, promoting the admission of new Party members according to targets and achieving quality; well managing cadres and Party members; improving the effectiveness and efficiency of leadership, improving the quality and efficiency of mass mobilization work, promoting the role of mass organizations to promote the emulation movement to successfully complete the tasks in 2023. He assigned the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to direct the review of targets and tasks with low achievements and difficulties, thereby developing plans, having solutions and assigning specific tasks to each task, each agency, unit and locality to focus on directing the effective implementation of the socio-economic development tasks set out in 2023. The Party Executive Committee, Party Delegation, District Party Committees, City Party Committees, affiliated Party Committees, advisory and support agencies of the Provincial Party Committee and heads of departments, branches, sectors and organizations, based on their assigned functions and tasks, shall direct the review, have specific plans and solutions to implement and achieve results, create clearer and stronger changes in all fields, contribute to the successful implementation of the 2023 resolution and prepare well the conditions for performing tasks in 2024.
