People's Representative Newspaper organized a seminar on implementing legal policies on equitization.

Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Representative Newspaper Pham Thi Thanh Huyen said that the 15th National Assembly, during its Second Session in November 2021, issued Resolution No. 31/2015/QH15 on the Economic Restructuring Plan for the 2021-2023 period.

Accordingly, the National Assembly requested: continuing to reorganize state-owned enterprises, focusing on key and essential areas; resolving difficulties, improving efficiency in land management and use of state-owned enterprises; strictly enforcing discipline and administrative order and severely handling violations that slow down the progress of equitization, divestment of state capital and restructuring of state-owned enterprises...

At the sixth session, scheduled to open on October 23, the National Assembly will also discuss the implementation of the Economic Restructuring Plan under Resolution No. 31/2021/QH15; including the restructuring of state-owned enterprises.

“In such a context, the People's Representative Newspaper organized a discussion on Equitization Law and Policy - the issues raised with the hope of clearly recognizing the limitations and obstacles in the equitization process and finding solutions to speed up the progress, prevent profiteering, loss and waste of State assets, especially land. Thereby contributing to the process of perfecting policies and laws on equitization of state-owned enterprises in the coming time”, Editor-in-Chief Pham Thi Thanh Huyen emphasized.

At the seminar, speakers said that policies and laws on equitization of state-owned enterprises and divestment continue to be improved in the direction of ensuring more publicity, transparency and strictness and removing difficulties and obstacles. Thereby, helping to speed up the progress of equitization and divestment, especially in the period of 2016 - 2020; at the same time, limiting the loss of capital and state assets.

Speakers also suggested that there should be a specific plan to use capital obtained from divestment, with priority given to important national projects to create development momentum and spillover effects for the economy; promote the role of the State Capital Management Committee in enterprises...
