Ensuring the successful organization of the U11 Football Tournament and Dak Nong Marathon 2025

The U11 Children's Football Tournament - Dak Nong Newspaper Cup 2015 was held for the first time in the province under the chairmanship of Dak Nong Newspaper in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the accompaniment and support from the People's Committees of districts and cities in the province.

The tournament will bring together 8 teams representing the participating localities. The players are primary school students, born from 2014 onwards, meeting the requirements of academic performance, conduct and health. The tournament will take place in the format of 5-a-side mini football and is expected to start in late May and early June 2025 in Gia Nghia City.

Mr. Ngo Cong Quang, Deputy Secretary General of the Editorial Board of the Journalist & Public Opinion Newspaper, founder of the 5:30 Community - Happy and Healthy Every Day hopes that the tournament will spread the spirit and running movement to the people of Dak Nong.

In parallel, the Dak Nong Marathon 2025 - Conquering the Southern Central Highlands, hosted by Dak Nong Newspaper, in coordination with Vietpro Media Development Joint Stock Company, 5h30 Community - Happy and Healthy Every Day and the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is the first sports event held in Dak Nong.

Representatives of Dak Nong Runner Club discussed some difficulties of athletes when participating in the race.

The race will take place on May 31 and June 1 in Gia Nghia City, and is expected to attract about 4,000 professional and amateur athletes, journalists, reporters, residents and marathon clubs across the country. Athletes will compete in 5 distances: Kids Run 2km, 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km.

Mr. Le Ba Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, contributed comments related to the students participating in the tournaments.

The U11 Children's Football Tournament and Dak Nong Marathon 2025 are among the key activities in the series of events celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21), and at the same time, an activity to welcome the 13th Congress of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. In addition to its sporting significance, the tournament also contributes to promoting the image of beautiful nature, friendly people, and rich identity of Dak Nong land to domestic and foreign friends.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper, gave his opinion regarding the race track and security forces.

Not only is it a sport, the tournament also has a profound humanitarian meaning when aiming to mobilize social resources to give gifts and build houses for disadvantaged households in the province, with a total expected support value of about 300 million VND.

At the meeting, members of the Organizing Committee updated the implementation of preparations, from the composition of participating athletes, the venue, the race route, the arrangement of logistics forces, medical work, etc. Every detail was exchanged and discussed to ensure that the two tournaments are organized in the most methodical, thoughtful, safe and effective manner.

The Head of the Organizing Committee requested relevant units to continue promoting proactive spirit, closely coordinate, and promptly complete the remaining work.
