According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 1 p.m. on October 3, the eye of the storm was located at about 16.8 degrees north latitude and 121.0 degrees east longitude on the mainland north of Luzon Island (Philippines). The strongest wind near the eye of the storm was at level 9 to 10, gusting to level 13.
Forecast, tonight (October 3), the storm will enter the East Sea, affecting the eastern sea area of the northern East Sea, strong winds of level 6 to 7, then increasing to level 8 to 9, the area near the storm's eye will be strong at level 10 to 11, gusting to level 13, waves 3 to 5m high, the area near the storm's eye 4 to 6m, rough seas.
By October 5, the storm will directly affect the northern East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone), with strong winds of level 8-10, near the storm's eye level 11 to 13, gusts of level 16, waves 4 to 6m high, near the storm's eye 6 to 8m, and rough seas.
In addition, on the night of October 3 and October 4, there will be storms in the northern East Sea; in the central and southern East Sea (including Truong Sa special zone), from Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms.
During thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind level 6 to 7 and waves higher than 2m.
Warning, on the night of October 4 and October 5, the sea area west of the northern East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone) will have strong winds of level 8-10, the area near the storm's eye will have strong winds of level 11 to 12, gusts of level 15, waves 4 to 6m high, the area near the storm's eye will have waves of 6 to 8m, and the sea will be very rough.
On October 5, in the Gulf of Tonkin (including Bach Long Vi special zone), winds gradually increased to level 6 to 8, near the storm's eye, winds increased to level 9 to 11, gusting to level 14; waves 2.5 to 4.5m high, and rough seas.
Risk warning for the eastern sea area of the northern East Sea: Level 3.
All vessels operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves.
