Speaking at the opening of the Exhibition, Dr. Vu Manh Ha, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, affirmed: “August 19, 1945 has entered the history of Vietnam not only as a brilliant milestone, but also marked the birth of the People's Public Security force. Our Public Security is the People's Public Security, serving the People and relying on the People to work. Over the past 80 years, educated and trained by President Ho Chi Minh, under the leadership of the Party, with the trust and support of the People, the Vietnam People's Public Security has become the core armed force in the cause of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, fighting against crime and law violations. With more than 200 carefully selected photos, documents and typical artifacts, including many rare original artifacts, the special exhibition "People's Public Security - 80 years of remembering Uncle Ho's words" introduces to the public the feelings, care, direction and guidance of President Ho Chi Minh. Ho Chi Minh dedicated to the Vietnam People's Public Security force from the early days of its establishment until his passing, and at the same time depicted the noble qualities of the Public Security soldiers through 80 years of building, fighting and growing. Engraved with Uncle Ho's words, those noble qualities have been tempered through many difficulties and challenges in wartime as well as peacetime, inherited and promoted by generations of police officers and soldiers, so that the Vietnam People's Public Security always deserves to be the sharp "sword", the solid "steel shield" of the Party, State and People as President Ho Chi Minh instructed."

The exhibition "People's Public Security - 80 years of remembering Uncle Ho's words" of the Ho Chi Minh Museum introduces to the public an overview of the heroic history of the Vietnam People's Public Security force over the past 8 decades, under the guiding light of the ideology, morality and deep affection of beloved President Ho Chi Minh.
The exhibition content includes 02 parts:
Part I: You are the light that guides the way
After the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the predecessor organizations of the People's Public Security were established one after another to protect the organization, the revolution and the ideal of national independence. After the success of the August Revolution in 1945, the first People's Public Security organizations in the three regions were established, with the task of suppressing counter-revolutionaries, ensuring security and order, protecting the Party, protecting the revolutionary government and the People. On February 21, 1946, President Ho Chi Minh issued a decree to unify the People's Public Security forces throughout the country into the Vietnam Public Security Service.
As President, Uncle Ho paid special attention to building, educating and training the People's Public Security force. His six teachings on "The Qualities of a Revolutionary Public Security Officer" have become the guiding principle for all actions of the Vietnam People's Public Security. He has directly spoken at conferences and classes of the Public Security sector many times, visiting, encouraging, praising and cheering on units and soldiers to overcome difficulties and challenges, excellently completing the task of protecting national security and maintaining a peaceful life for the people.

Part II: Worthy of the title "Sharp sword, Strong steel shield"
Over 80 years of building, fighting and growing, generations of cadres and soldiers of the People's Public Security force have constantly strived, cultivated and trained the "Qualities of a revolutionary public security officer" according to Uncle Ho's Six Teachings, building a glorious heroic tradition, worthy of being a sharp "sword" and a solid "steel shield" protecting the Party, the State, the people and the socialist regime.
The noble qualities of revolutionary police officers are continuously tempered in daily work, regardless of wartime or peacetime. That is the source of strength that helps the Vietnam People's Police achieve many feats and outstanding achievements, making especially important contributions to the cause of national liberation and reunification in the past as well as to the construction and protection of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam today.
