Bao Tin Manh Hai joins hands with Vimedimex group to establish a 10,000 billion VND crypto asset company

Since its establishment, Vimexchange Cryptocurrency and Crypto Asset Trading Joint Stock Company has had a charter capital of 10,000 billion VND.

The market recently recorded the establishment of another company related to crypto assets. Accordingly, Vimexchange Cryptocurrency and Crypto Asset Trading Joint Stock Company was established on June 5, 2025 with capital contributions from many familiar names.

Since its inception, Vimexchange has had a charter capital of 10,000 billion VND with 8 founding shareholders. The largest shareholder is Vimedimex Pharmaceutical Group Joint Stock Company (Vimedimex Group) which owns 50% of the capital, equivalent to a contributed capital of 5,000 billion VND.  

The list of founding shareholders includes Bao Tin Manh Hai Jewelry Joint Stock Company with a contribution ratio of 10%, equivalent to VND 1,000 billion and Hoa Binh Securities Joint Stock Company (HBS) contributing 2%. HBS is a securities company in the ecosystem of Vimedimex Group.

In addition, the remaining founding shareholders include Hoa Binh Investment and Development Joint Stock Company contributing 10%; Bien Tien Sa Joint Stock Company holding 6%; Vietnam Investment and Development Group Joint Stock Company contributing 5%; Vimedimex 2 Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company contributing 15% and International Fund Management Joint Stock Company contributing 2%.

Currently, the legal representative of Vimexchange is Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director. Ms. Loan is the former Chairwoman of Vimedimex and was arrested and prosecuted at the end of 2021 in the case of "Violating regulations on asset auction activities". Recently, after returning, the situation at the related securities company, HBS, also became tense when many serious problems from the old period related to finance and capital contributions were raised by the new leadership.

Up to now, many securities companies and related organizations have contributed capital to establish crypto-asset companies such as SSI, TCBS, VIX, VPBankS, and recently HD Securities (HDS) has also announced a plan to increase capital to contribute money to HD Crypto-asset Exchange Joint Stock Company. However, up to now, Vimexchange is the only company in the newly established crypto-asset sector that has enough charter capital of 10,000 billion VND.  

Capital of 10,000 billion VND is one of the basic conditions to be granted a License to provide services to organize the crypto-asset trading market according to Resolution No. 5/2025/NQ-CP of the Government on piloting the crypto-asset market in Vietnam.  

This Resolution regulates the pilot implementation of offering and issuing crypto assets, organizing crypto asset trading markets and providing crypto asset services; state management of the crypto asset market in Vietnam. In particular, one of the conditions for being granted a License to provide services to organize crypto asset trading markets is that the enterprise providing services to organize crypto asset trading markets must have a minimum capital of VND 10,000 billion, at least 65% of charter capital contributed by shareholders and members who are organizations, of which over 35% of charter capital is contributed by at least 2 organizations such as commercial banks, securities companies, fund management companies, insurance companies, and enterprises operating in the technology sector.
