(Dan Tri) - This morning (March 5), Hanoi continued to experience light rain, dense fog, and very high humidity of nearly 90%.
On the morning of March 5, Hanoi's sky appeared covered by thick fog covering the entire city. From early morning, visibility was reduced to a few dozen meters due to the surrounding fog. Rush hour traffic is made more difficult by limited visibility. The 33-storey EVN building (Cua Bac street) seemed to "disappear" in the fog from an observation distance of less than 50m. At 9am, the inner city sky continued to be foggy. Traffic moved slowly on the Nghi Tam - Yen Phu overpass in poor visibility conditions. The area around the lake often has high humidity, leading to dense fog. In the photo, The Huc Bridge is hidden in the mist on Hoan Kiem Lake. View to the opposite bank of Truc Bach lake area only vaguely shows rows of houses. Thanh Nien Street area, despite the humid weather, many people still sit and drink tea early. The stream of people entering Tran Quoc Pagoda is hidden behind the mist.
According to information from the Air Visual application (which monitors air quality worldwide ), the average air quality index (AQI) of Hanoi is at the purple level (very harmful to health), with the index at 220. The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that today, the North will continue to have light rain in some places, fog in the early morning and at night, and less clouds in the afternoon, with sunshine. By about 10am, the fog showed no signs of abating on the streets of the inner city.
