Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company (Becamex IJC, code IJC - HoSE) has just closed the last registration date to close the shareholder list to pay 2023 cash dividends at a rate of 7% (VND 700/share) on September 27, 2024.
The ex-dividend date is September 26, 2024. According to the company's recent announcement, the dividend will be transferred to shareholders' accounts on December 26, 2024.
With more than 377.7 million shares in circulation, Becamex IJC is expected to spend about more than VND 264.4 billion for this dividend payment. Currently, the Industrial Investment and Development Corporation - Joint Stock Company (Becamex IDC, code BCM, HoSE floor) is the only major shareholder of Becamex IJC, holding nearly 188 million shares, accounting for 49.76% of charter capital, and this company will receive nearly VND 132 billion in dividends.
Previously, the general meeting of shareholders of Becamex IJC approved a 7% cash dividend, expected to be distributed in the fourth quarter of 2024. This level is lower than the previously announced plan (10%) and lower than the 2022 dividend at a rate of 14%. In addition, in 2024, the company is expected to continue to lower the expected dividend rate to only 5% of charter capital.
In the first half of 2024, Becamex IJC recorded VND531.24 billion in revenue, down 49.38% year-on-year. Profit after tax reached VND112.74 billion, down 54.85% year-on-year. In 2024, the company set a revenue target of VND2,206 billion and profit after tax of VND511 billion. Thus, this enterprise has completed 24% of the revenue target and 22% of the profit target for the whole year of 2024 after 6 months.
In April 2024, Becamex IJC offered nearly 126 million shares to existing shareholders at a rate of 50%, equivalent to owning 100 shares to buy 50 new shares. The offering price is 10,000 VND/share. After this large issuance, the charter capital increased from 2,518 billion VND to 3,777 billion VND.
Becamex IJC used 366 billion VND to invest in capital contribution through the form of buying additional shares issued in Becamex Binh Phuoc Technical Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company; 853.4 billion VND to pay principal/interest on short-term and long-term bank loans, bonds and customer debt and 39.6 billion VND to supplement business capital.
Although the first half of the year's business results were "short of breath" compared to the plan, IJC's capital increase plan was still completed at a rate of 100%. Nearly 97% of the number of shares offered for sale were distributed to shareholders, only about 4.1 million shares, equivalent to a rate of 3.29%, were not fully distributed but were also processed later.
Regarding business orientation in 2024, for the real estate sector, the board of directors said that the projects expected to be put into operation this year are mainly projects in Hoa Phu ward, Binh Duong new city; Sunflower II villa project; Hoa Loi residential area project; Hoang Tu II neighborhood project... On the stock market, IJC stock price is trading at 14,050 VND/share, up about 13% compared to the beginning of the year.
